Visiting the Magnolia Market in Waco Texas was a special treat to our recent vacation in Texas. I don’t watch much TV but I do know Chip and Joanna Gaines. I love vintage farm house style and make my living “fixing things up.” Chip and Joanna are the owners of Magnolia Market therefore this was a destination on our trip.
Everything in Texas is Grand-Magnolia Market is no Exception
These two are the stars of the HGTV show Fixer Upper. The show is so successful that the show, Chip and Jo themselves and the enterprises connected to them have really put Waco Texas on the map.
Magnolia Market it not your average retail place of business! Some of my favorite details. The chalkboard sentiment that blends in to the landscaping right before you enter the market.
Another amazing feature of the Magnolia Market complex is the huge recreation space provided for the patrons of the market. Footballs, soccer balls, jump rope and floor cushions abound on the artificial turf designed for family fun and interaction. Our grandkids enjoyed this feature immensely.
Inside Magnolia Market
Inside the store was more like black Friday at Wal-Mart, crowded, long check out lines, and clerks replenishing goods as fast as possible.
Shopping Magnolia Market
We were here to shop and really fulfill my dream to see this place.I can now report that the merchandising was splendid and the store fixtures simply gorgeous!
I especially enjoyed the signs.
There are metal ones and wood ones made in Texas.
I loved being at the market but we had little ones with us so our stay was cut short. We didn’t get to visit all the buildings or other markets within the market. Below is a map of the grounds [displayed as you enter the square] and as you can see, it is quite extensive!
Magnolia Market would be a great shopping experience if you were looking for accessories to complete your vintage or farmhouse style home. Most of these items are available at other high-end home boutiques but you won’t find the quintessential details of Joanne Gaines Style and presentation.
If you find yourself near Waco, Texas, Magnolia Market is worth the trip. You will throughly enjoy the welcoming and cleverly designed complex like none other anywhere!
We didn’t but anything because we flew to Texas so packing would be tough and with little ones, standing in line would be torture.
