I am so ready for Brimfield Antique Show and Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint II
Seems like forever since I had a chance to sit and write, so just what have I been up to?
We did Brimfield Antique Show in Brimfield MA last week so that had consumed all my time the previous two weeks. Here are a few things that I finished and a few shots of the show! We had so much fun with the customers. My brother, who makes things out of re-purposed wood and pallets did the show with me so that made it lots of very special time together. We live 2 states away from each other and rarely get to just hang-out! What a blast we had!!!!!
Here is a pillow I made from an old vintage canvas money-bag. The bank is no longer in business and the store where I purchased the bag didn’t want to give me a deal, consequently I had to charge a lot for this awesome linen pillow and I still have it, not to worry, I will put it on my online shop gardenhousestudio.com!
One of the bird houses my brother makes from old barn wood. They all sold including the tool boxes from old barn-wood. I wanted one but they “flew” out of the booth!
Love this antique piece that we finished while at the show with the Annie Sloan chalk paint in seaglass green [my own formula] almost didn’t want to let it go. When we purchased it, it was missing the back so hubby made a back out of an old piano part.
Love the patina and the original hardware!
HGTV was there all day Saturday [family day] and as I watched them chase the people they were filming and scurry around with the camera crew, I also noticed the families taking it all in stride, all these beautiful babies just hanging with their parents! Suddenly a light bulb moment and I began to ask permission to photograph their children and make a Beautiful Babies of Brimfield 2013 pinterest board. Almost every parent was more than willing and I enjoyed every minute of it. Visit my Beautiful Babies of Brimfield and take a look at these gorgeous children found at the Brimfield Antique Show. I will be finished by the weekend, 35 or so great shots.
On another note, this is our tool-box/ flower box designed by hubby and painted by hubby. I asked him to do a layered milk paint look but it came out like a tie-dyed Miss mustard seed milk paint tool box!
Everyone loved them and again, every one sold!
I will be sharing my Brimfield Antique Show finds as well as catching up in my monthly special and May giveaway! Sorry if I am a bit late, May was just too busy to keep up with, maybe I should do the May and June give-away at the same time!
What about one of our tool box/flower box?
Thanks for visiting, Peggy
